Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Departure by car to Monte Cavallo. Upon request, it is possible to cycle the famous climb of the Giro d'Italia (approx. 25 km of asphalt road). From Piancavallo begins the 'malghe' tour, a mixed route (asphalt, dirt road and path) with a modest difference in altitude and easy to ride, except for a short, more technical section of the path, which requires additional attention. The route offers a variety of landscapes and environments: rough pastures, beech forests and fields of rhododendrons accompany the cyclist along the entire loop. The most spectacular part of this 'malghe tour' is undoubtedly the one from the Casera di Valfredda (Valfredda cheese factory) to the fork for Forcella Giais, where you can enjoy a complete panoramic view of the south-eastern slope of Monte Cavallo and beautiful views of Monte Duranno and Cima Preti, whose sharp shapes give the impression of coming straight out of the fields before Forcella Giais. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast and departure for Pian Cansiglio: the great 'lung', 100 metres above sea level with a splendid view over the Alpago Valley. The tour starts from the northern end of Cansiglio, making a complete circuit ofn the high plateau, following a rough path through the natural environment of the forests. It is not difficult along the way to encounter deer, roe deer, deer, squirrels and birds of prey. After the undulating lands of Pian dell'Erba and Casera Cadolten, the route through the fields is fairly regular until reaching Monte Pizzoc. Once on Col Mazzuc the mule track begins to climb more steeply until it reaches the tarmac road; this section of the route is not lacking in short, fun single-track alternatives. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Vajont. The Vajont is sadly famous for the landslide and the massive wave of water that swept away the villages in the valley and nearby Longarone in 1963. The tour starts at the dam (still perfectly intact) and proceeds towards the southern side of the valley riding the landslide that fell on Mount Toc; after several ups and downs we reach Manzana and take the diversions that descends to the bottom of the valley to the Vajont stream bed. From here we reach Erto and proceeding towards San Liberale we encounter the Trui de Sciarbon, an ancient route used to transport coal. The path is narrow and technically difficult, with several exposed passages and loose ground from time to time. Some sections of the route are not suitable for cycling, such as the ascent and descent of the Col de Sciaston (5-minute walk). The single track finally comes out of the woods, cutting into the mountainside and offering a breathtaking view of the vertiginous valley and the clearly visible rift of Monte Toc. The route then becomes easier and faster and, after passing through the village of Casso, you will finish back towards the dam. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast and departure by bicycle around Polcenigo, from the wetlands of the Livenza river to the woods of Santa Lucia and from streams such as the Artugna to the crystal-clear Gorgazzo springs. This itinerary begins with the first single track in the wetlands of the Livenza floodplain; continuing the tour on the hill of San Floriano, a short loop allows you to climb up to the small church at the top of the hill, followed by a descent on a rocky path towards San Giovanni. The second bumpy section enters the woods of the Colline di Santa Lucia, where a descent on a fun single track reaches the bed of the Rio de Brosa, which is then followed all the way to Budoia, passing along winding paths surrounded by vegetation. An easy section of the track through the countryside leads to Castello d'Aviano, where the road climbs up towards Colle Sant'Angelo. The next steep dive is probably the most dangerous of the tour and joins a further single track that - slightly uphill - climbs along the Artugna river and then proceeds towards the valley, once again skirting the Rio de Brosa. Two sharp climbs now lead to Gorgazzo and from here the trail begins to become easier, all the way to the Santissima Trinità sanctuary and the nearby Livenza springs. Return to the hotel and free lunch. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel, check out and free time before departure.
